The Monroe City Track and Field team traveled to Clark County to compete in the Clark County Invitational. The event included ten schools in the competition. The MC Boys team was awarded first place with 138.5 points over Kirksville who trailed them with 137. The MC Girls team place third with 96 points behind Clark County scoring 134.5 and Palmyra with 131 points.
Placing for the Girls team were: Lauren Smith, Hannah Wheeler, Ella Hays and Emmalee Williams placed first in the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 10:52.471 earning 10 points; Carly Youngblood placed second in the 100m hurdles with a time of 17.65 earning 8 points; Alivia Chinn placed eighth in the 100m with a time of 14.46 earning 1 point and sixth in the 200m race in 29.10 earning 3 points; Carly Youngblood, Abigail Smith, Lexie Birt And Alivia Chinn placed third in the 4x200m with 1:56.85 earning 6 points; Ella Hays placed fourth in the 1600m running the race in 6:15.02 earning 5 points and third in the 3200m race in 14.00.22 earning 6 points; Emily Freidank, Riley Fortner, Mya Gottman and Taylor Pfaff placed fifth in the 4x100m relay with a time of 59.60 earning 4 points; Emmalee Williams placed fourth in the 400m race in 1:06.41 earning 5 points and third in the 800m in 2:32.65 earning 6 points; in the 300m hurdles Lexie Birt placed third in 53.56 earning 6 points and Carly Youngblood placed fifth in 54.34 earning 4 points; and Abigail Smith, Alivia Chinn, Lexie Birt and Emmalee Williams placed first in the 4x400m relay earning 10 points. In field events, Youngblood placed first earning 10 points and Fortner placed fourth earning 5 points and Taylor Pfaff placed eighth in the triple jump earning one point.
Placing for the Boys team were: Korbyn Cheek, Kaleb Griffin, Jackson Wheeler, and Thomas Crider placed fourth running 9:34.71 earning 5 points; Aaron Plumb placed fourth in the 110m hurdles running 18.46 earning 5 points and third in the 300m hurdles running 48.40 earning 6 points; Keith Utterback placed fifth in the 300m hurdles running 52.09 earning 4 points; In the 100m race Waylon DeGrave ran 12.291 placing fifth to earn 4 points and Cameron Jones ran 12.295 placing sixth to earn 3 points; Jaylyn Countryman, Elmer Martinez, Joshua Talton and Josiah Talton placed third in the 4x200m in 1:36.14 earning 6 points; Kabott Harlan placed first in the 1600m running with a time of 4:50.64 earning 10 points; in the 4x100m Joshua Talton, Josiah Talton, Cameron Jones and Jaylyn Countryman placed third place in 46.29 earning 6 points; in the 800m race Kabott Harlan placed third in 2:09.25 earning 6 points and Kaleb Griffin placed seventh in 2:21.15 earning 3 points; Josiah Talton placed third in the 200m race with a time of 23.38 earning 6 points; in the 3200m race Logan Lucas placed first running 10:54.46 earning 10 points and Kaleb Griffin placed second running 11:43.83 earning 8 points; and Cameron Jones, Elmer Martinez, Jaylyn Countryman and Josiah Talton ran the 4x400m placing second in 3:41.82 earning 8 points. In field events, Waylon DeGrave placed third in the high jump earning 6 points, third in the long jump earning 6 points and fourth in the triple jump earning five points; Connor Pfaff placed first in pole vault earning 10 points; Joshua Talton placed fourth in discus earning 5 points; and in javelin Connor Pfaff placed sixth earning 3 points and Elmer Martinez placed eighth earning 1 point.
