Weekly Challenge: Don’t be so consumed with the daily tasks of earthly life that you can’t stop to take the time to hear the needs of the people around you. Show the actions of leading them to find Victory in God’s Word being a witness and a vessel.
This week I was blessed with the privilege to lead another to find comfort and healing in God’s Word. I was tagged in a post where someone was asking for help and prayer while going through a difficult time in their life. I could have ignored the tagged conversation and went on with my daily life or commented “praying for you”, like so many do. Instead I reached out and gave her resources that would lead the person to find the truth of the Word, so they could obtain the real Victory God intended for us to have.
Earlier in the week, I was working at a festival, where I like to start my day in prayer with those I will be working with. As we began to work, I said “Let’s all pray together to start our day,” and the person stated they probably should step outside while we pray because they don’t pray. I replied, “That’s okay, God still loves you, join us.” By the third day of working together, I arrived and we were super busy and started working. About an hour later, the person told me “Hey we haven’t prayed today yet.” I immediately thanked her for reminding me and we gathered together to pray. I thought what a simple witness, just taking the time to pray with others gave another hope.
I know there are lots of times I should have taken the time to witness to others. Let’s take the time to let our actions bring another person in need to the Love of Christ.
Matthew 4:19 Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”
Romans 10:15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
Matthew 9:37-38 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
