Harold Adam, 70, passed away July 6, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK surrounded by his wife and children.
A visitation was held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 11, in the Leonard-Marker Funeral Home. A celebration of life was held at 3 p.m. on Monday, July 12, in the Leonard- Marker Funeral Home Chapel. Military honors were provided by the United States Navy.
Harold William Adam was born December 11, 1950 in Hannibal, Missouri to Lorena & Richard Adam. He was raised in Monroe City, Missouri where he attended Holy Rosary School but graduated from Monroe City High School in 1968. He married his high school sweetheart, Viola Green, and they had three children, Joshua, Miranda & Shawn. Harold joined the Navy Dec 5, 1969 & was commissioned to serve on the USS GUAM where he travelled the world. After his discharge from the Navy in November of 1971, he went to cosmetology school and became a Master Hair Designer which he thoroughly enjoyed for 44 years!
Many years after Viola’s tragic death, he met the new love of his life, Donna! They got married November 8, 2002 and boy! Did Harold take her on a wild ride for almost 19 years! Over the years they attended Grace Fellowship (now Home Church) and Church on the Move where they made many wonderful lifelong friends! The grandkids started coming along just before they got married and oh! How Harold loved being a grandpa! He wanted to be involved with their sporting activities as he was a sports enthusiast himself, playing soccer, softball & especially golf. He also loved to go fishing with the grandkids. He even had the names of his grandchildren tattooed on his arms! He especially loved family barbecues & get togethers. He was enjoying this 4th of July celebration when he went out with a bang!
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Adam, stepson, Joshua Sternberg & grandson Simon Warren. He is survived by his wife, Donna of Tulsa, his mother Lorena Adam, his brothers Phil, Ken & Paul Adam along with his sister Becky Kellerman who all live out of state, his sons Joshua & Shawn Adam both of Broken Arrow, OK, daughter Miranda Adam of Holdenville, OK and the following grandchildren: Madison & Taylor Adam; Isabella, Lorelei & Malachi Adam; Kaylie, Mattilyn, & Marilynn Adam; Savannah, Sadie, Samuel, & Sophie Warren; and Lauren, Josh, Caleb & Braydon LeClaire along with Riley High, great grandson.
Harold absolutely loved life & fought his health issues with all he had! Life was all about fun for Harold & he brought much joy, laughter, love &. spontaneity into every relationship, every situation, every party & every life he touched! He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed!
