Gordon Leo Hill, 85, of Kingwood, Texas died Wednesday, October 14, at his home in Kingwood. He was born September 2, 1935 in Monroe City, the son of Gordon Leroy Hill and Margaret Fern (Griffin) Hill. On March 13, 1996, in New Caney, TX he married Karen Louise Kramer.
Mr. Hill was a plasterer for many years, owning his own business Hill’s Plastering Company. His was a skill rarely found in today’s tradesmen in that he could replicate and repair plaster in some of Houston’s oldest historic homes.
He is survived by his wife Karen, 3 sons Randy Joseph Hill of Belton, TX; Richard Francis Hill of Imperial; Robert Alan Hill of Columbia; 2 daughters, Robin Lynn (Hill) Mayer of Eureka; Machelle Varie (Hill) Henderson of Round Rock, TX; step daughter Rebecca Marie Martinez and step son David Jacob Martinez, both of Splendora; 21 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Hill is also survived by 1 brother, Danny Joe Hill of St Louis, and 4 sisters, Betty Karcher of Hannibal; Naomi Lehenbauer and Reva Ogle, both of Monroe City, and Shirley Zoller of Kaiser.
