Eliot Lewis Young, 60 of Monroe City, passed away Monday, July 05, at the Hannibal Regional Hospital, Hannibal.
He was born September 07, 1960 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of Willie George and Elmira Hamilton Young, they preceded him in death.
Eliot lived in the “Prairie Street House” in Monroe City. He participated in community interrogation with Learning Opportunities of Monroe City. Eliot was raised of the Christian faith. He enjoyed setting in the sun outside and listening to Eclipse. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends at the Prairie Street House, staff and friends at Learning opportunities.
He is survived by one brother Elroy Young of St. Louis, two sisters Elma E. Young of Indiana and Eleanor Mullen of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, one sister Marla L. Ingram and one brother Elvis C. Young.
Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Monday, July 12, at the Garner Funeral Home & Chapel, Monroe City, Rev. Steve Goughnour will officiate. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, at Laurel Hills Memorial Gardens, St. Louis.
