Dewey Eugene Lierly (Gene), 95 of Stoutsville, passed away Saturday October
24, at Monroe Manor in Paris.
Funeral services will be held at Garner Funeral Home & Chapel on Wednesday October
28, at 11 a.m.
Gene was born October 8, 1925 in Hull, Illinois to Hurlie and Freida (Artzen) Lierly.
Gene was a farmer and spent many years employed as a cement truck driver. He enjoyed
hunting and fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Gene is survived by his children Dorinda Kuder (Douglas) of Hannibal, John Lierly (Bettye)
of Stoutsville, Vanessa Rench of Hannibal, James Lierly (Tracy) of Palmyra and Tami
Robertson of Grinnell, Iowa, 17 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 3 great great
grandchildren, his sister Norma Ross (Herbert) of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents Hurlie and Freida Lierly, his wives Dorothy Lierly (1979),
Margaret Lierly (2006), one sister Drietha Joanne Hill (1969) and one daughter Bette Jane
