Carrie Kathleen Finkle, 72 of Jacksonville, Illinois passed away Saturday, July 03, at the Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, Illinois.
She was born May 23, 1949 in Bowling Green, the daughter of Wilbert and Barbara Holliday Thompson, they have preceded her in death.
Kathleen attended various Grammar Schools in Chicago, Illinois. She was affiliated with There’s More Ministries, Inc. Kathleen’s passion was helping others through her ministries at Helps Outreach Ministry, Quincy, Illinois. Her arms were open to who ever was in need of help. Her legacy will reflect that. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
She was married to Leslie Dewayne Finkle, September 18, 1981, he survives of the home.
Also surviving is one son Gennero Griffith (Mairiam); two daughters Jeanetta B. Griffith and Yaismin S. Griffith; one sister Valerie Williams; three brothers Meltara Thompson (Renolda), Timothy Thompson and Charlie Brown; She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and foster and adopted children and adults that she opened her home to.
She was preceded by her parents and one sister Alisha (Foxy) Clay.
Memorial services was held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 10, at the First Baptist Church, Quincy, Illinois, Rev. Cheryl Weaver officiated the services along with several other ministers. Graveside services were held following the memorial services in Monroe City at the St. Jude Cemetery. Visitation was Friday evening from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Garner Funeral Home, Monroe City.
