A Residential Business Ordinance was presented to the City Council by City Attorney Michael Williams on September 5. Attorney Williams shared the ordinance would affect areas zoned R-1 and R-2. The purposed ordinance would allow residential businesses to be approved through the planning and zoning committee.
Current residential businesses who have not been approved through planning and zoning will need to apply for approval through the planning and zoning committee.
There would be a 60-day grace period for existing businesses to obtain approval for established businesses, including daycares.
