North Park to receive the same Pour in Place surface playground made from recycled tires as did the Water Tower Park Playground as seen in the photo above.

The City of Monroe City has been awarded a grant for a Pour In Place surface playground made from recycled tires. Bids were sent out for a company to do the project. The low bid was received from S. Bollinger & Associates in the amount of $43,120. City Administrator Jackie Pangborn explained the grant will cover $30,000 of the installation. The City had budgeted $20,000 for the project to be completed, and would be under budget if the bid was accepted. Pangborn stated, “They did the project at St. Jude’s Park. I believe they did a good job and was pleased with their work.” The Board of Alderman voted with all in favor for North Park to have the Pour In Place surface playground installed by S. Bollinger & Associates and accepted their bid.
