The Monroe City Police Department respond to a call at the Bel-Air Motel, located on Business Highway 24/36, on the morning of Saturday, August 24.

On August 16, an Officer assisted with a Medical Call on East Summer Street. Patient was transferred to Hannibal Regional Hospital.  An Officer investigated a Civil Dispute near South Border Street. Both parties were contacted without incident. An Officer investigated Suspicious Activity regarding a phone call to the Monroe City Police Department. Individual was contacted without further incident. An Officer investigated reports of Suspicious Activity near Easy Street. Officers investigated a Noise Complaint near Widow Lane. Parties were contacted without further incident. Officers investigated active Fire Alarm at Orscheln Farm and Home with no findings.

On August 17, an Officer investigated a Non-Injury Motor Vehicle Accident on East Border Street. Officers assisted Monroe City EMS with a Medical Call at C&R Market. Patient was transferred to Columbia Hospital without further incident. Officers investigated Suspicious Activity on East Summer Street.

On August 18, Rachel Lipp, Monroe City, was arrested for and released on citations of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a Valid Driver’s License and Failure to Register Motor Vehicle Annually with D.O.R. An Officer investigated an Active Alarm at Orscheln Farm and Home with no findings.

On August 19, an Officer investigated reports of Tampering near the Meyer Implement Lot. Investigation ongoing. Officers investigated reports of Suspicious Activity occurring near West Summer Street. Parties were contacted without further incident. An Officer investigated reports of Animal Cruelty occurring near East Cleveland Street with no findings.

On August 20, an Officer assisted with a Medical Call on Sycamore Lane. Individual was transported to Hannibal Regional Hospital by personal vehicle. An Officer assisted Marion County Deputies with a Motor Vehicle Accident near the Route Z Overpass. Two individuals were transported to hospital by helicopter and one individual was transported to hospital by ambulance. Officer remained on scene as needed. An Officer assisted with an Animal Call at the Monroe City Police Department. Animal was transported to the Monroe City Animal Shelter and was later released to owner.

On August 21, an Officer investigated an Active Alarm at Orscheln Farm and Home with no findings. Officer investigated Suspicious Activity at Casey’s General Store. Individual was contacted without further incident. Dakota Bailey, Monroe City, was arrested for Assault and released on citation.

On August 22, an Officer investigated reports of Trespassing at a residence on West Summer Street. Individual was contacted and left the premises without further incident. Officers investigated reports of a Suspicious Individual at the C&R Market parking lot. Individual was contacted and left without incident.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.
