The Monroe City Manor Auxiliary sees huge support at bake sale Feb. 12. Rita Schachtsiek and Nancy Voepel help Dennis Lorenson choose the best goodies to purchase at the bake sale.  Funds from the bake sale will help the auxiliary support the Monroe City Manor Care Center with upcoming planned projects.

The Monroe City Manor Auxiliary hosted their annual bake sale fundraiser on February 12 in the Old Macon-Atlanta bank lobby. The lobby was filled with all sorts of baked goods with Valentine themes. The fundraiser was well attended and sold out early. All proceeds help support the needs of the residents throughout the year.

Shoppers were seen picking out treats to satisfy their sweet tooth. The bake sale offered baked breads, cookies, cake pops, cheese cakes, cakes and several more items decorated with hearts and

The auxiliary has long term goals, hoping to add automatic front doors, a sunroom and a chapel for the residents to enjoy. Recently the auxiliary received a generous donation helping them move closer to their goal to complete the sunroom.

Anyone wanting to help the auxiliary reach their goal can send donations to MCMCC, 1010 Business Highway 36/24, Monroe City, MO 63456 or make a deposit at the F&M Bank Monroe City location in the MCMCC Building Improvement fund account.
