Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney Talley Kendrick

Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney Talley Kendrick announces the following individuals were sentenced to the Missouri Department of Corrections during June and July of 2019:

Jared Levings pled guilty to Possession of a Controlled Substance as a prior drug offender.  He was sentenced to ten (10) years in the Missouri Department of Corrections subject to Section 217.362, RSMo.  This case was investigated by the East Central Drug Task Force with the assistance of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.  

Michael Hicken had previously pled guilty to Distribution of a Controlled Substance and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.  He was ordered to serve a one year drug treatment program in the Missouri Department of Corrections.  Following his completion, he was released on probation.  The defendant failed to abide by the terms and conditions of his probation and on May 31, 2019, the prosecuting attorney filed a Motion to Revoke Probation.  On June 25, 2019, his probation was revoked and his fifteen year sentence in the Department of Corrections was executed.  This case was originally investigated by the East Central Drug Task Force with the assistance of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.  

Ruthann Fainter had previously pled guilty to Possession of a Controlled Substance and had been placed on probation.  She failed to abide by the terms and conditions of her probation, and on June 6, 2019, the prosecuting attorney filed a Motion to Revoke Probation.  Following a hearing on July 3, 2019, her five year sentence in the Missouri Department of Corrections was executed.  This case was originally investigated by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.  

Long-term drug treatment programs are one year long programs within Missouri prisons.  For men, they are located at Ozark Correctional Center in Fordland, Missouri, and Maryville Treatment Center in Maryville, Missouri.
