Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney Talley Kendrick Smith announces the following individuals were sentenced to the Missouri Department of Corrections from the period beginning May 1, 2020, and ending August 31, 2020:

Jeremy McCluskey, of Monroe City, Missouri, was sentenced to Twenty (20) Years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Statutory Rape in the First Degree. This case was investigated by the Monroe City Police Department. 


Ty Gramley, of Columbia, Missouri, was sentenced to Five (5) Years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Possession of Child Pornography and Distributing Pornography to a Minor. This case was investigated by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. 


April Brashier, of Columbia, Missouri, had previously pled guilty to Forgery and had been placed on probation. She failed to abide by the terms and conditions of her probation. On March 20, 2019, and June 6, 2019, the Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney filed a Motion to Revoke Probation. Following a hearing, the Defendant’s probation was revoked and her Five (5) Year sentence was executed. This case was originally investigated by the Monroe City Police Department. 


Jeremy Pipes, of Madison, Missouri, had previously pled guilty to Burglary in the Second Degree and had been placed on probation. He failed to abide by the terms and conditions of his probation. On April 24, 2020, the Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney filed a Motion to Revoke Probation. Following a hearing, the Defendant’s probation was revoked and his Seven (7) Year sentence in the Missouri Department of Corrections was executed. This case was originally investigated by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. 


Michael Vaupel, of Monroe City, Missouri, had previously pled guilty to Delivery of a Controlled Substance. He previously was Ordered to complete an institutional treatment program in the Missouri Department of Corrections. Following its completion, he was placed on probation. The defendant failed to abide by the terms and conditions of his probation. The Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney filed a Motion to Revoke Probation on January 29, 2020, on March 31, 2020, and on July 1, 2020. Following a hearing, the Defendant’s probation was revoked and his Four (4) Year sentence in the Missouri Department of Corrections was executed. This case was originally investigated by the Northeast Missouri Narcotics Task Force. 


Tonya Barnes, of Kirksville, Missouri, had previously pled guilty to Burglary in the Second Degree and had been placed on probation. She failed to abide by the terms and conditions of her probation. The Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney filed a Motion to Revoke Probation on May 20, 2020, on June 2, 2020, and on June 16, 2020. Following a hearing, the Defendant’s probation was continued and the Defendant was Ordered to serve a Court Ordered Detention Sanction in the Missouri Department of Corrections. This case was originally investigated by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. 


Joel Huffman, of Clarence, Missouri, had previously pled guilty to Resisting Arrest and had been placed on probation. He failed to abide by the terms and conditions of his probation. A Motion to Revoke Probation was filed by the Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney on June 26, 2020. Following a hearing, the Defendant’s probation was revoke and he was Ordered to complete the Institutional Treatment Program in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
