DTMC President Mindy Hays stands center with Chariton Valley Representative Daren Dowell, along with several other Monroe City Chamber of Commerce members, DTMC members and Chariton Valley representatives, to receive a $2,500 donation to support the vision of downtown Monroe City at The Apron Cafe on Feb. 21.

The DownTown Monroe City Revitalization (DTMC) organization received a donation from Chariton Valley in the amount of $2,500 on Friday, February 21 at 10 a.m. The donation was presented at The Apron Cafe. Those in attendance enjoyed conversation over coffee, juice and pastries.

Chariton Valley spokesman Daren Dowell stated, “Chariton Valley is committed to giving back to the communities they serve. We know DTMC is working really hard to bring life to the downtown area and are happy to be a part of supporting their vision of renovation and restoration in this community.”

“Donations like this from Chariton Valley are immensely important to the continued efforts of our organization,” states DTMC President Mindy Hays. “These funds will stay local, going directly back into our downtown through DTMC grants and building improvement opportunities.”
