Weekly Challenge: Mirror your every day life according to the way God’s Word directs you.
Every day should be better than yesterday, because every day is a day closer to our final destiny. This destiny will be decided on how each of us choose to live, our body (a gift from God) should be a mirrored vessel of Gods way of living both physically and spiritually.
If not, then the Word of God says we are liars speaking one way, but living another. Because the person lives only fooling themselves on a trail of death (that is death to your protection, finances, joy, love and peace). Sin causes death—not just physical death, but death spiritually separating us from God. Sin robs us from our relationships, finances, health and the many increases God wants us to have.
There is only one way to the Kingdom of God and that’s Jesus, even if the person doesn’t want it, they still reap Gods consequences because all things belong to God. Why not live on the winning team? After all, it’s a free gift to live abundantly, it costs greatly to live against Him.
It’s easy to make the choice to live for God, it’s the decision to actually do it that moves mountains. This decision requires us to fill up, spend time in prayer, remember our focus daily and be careful of our actions.
We are Gods children, we have the key to victory and the directions to overcome, we just have to choose to unlock the destiny.
This weekend is Mother’s Day. Many will rush out to buy gifts and spend money to make our special Mothers feel appreciated. I encourage each to ask God what is the best gift you can give the Mother’s in your life. Could it be time spent together, laying down worldly habits, choosing to live more like God commands?
As for me, I could think of nothing greater for Mother’s Day, than to see my family increasing in the things of God, growing together as a family and living out the testimony of how God takes every situation and uses it to bring light to another.
I have been blessed to share a Mother’s Love with six children and four grandchildren. For that I am forever grateful, and trusting God to help take my past mistakes and turn them into lessons learned. Choosing to teach God’s way, verses the worlds way, will always bring victory—even when those around you don’t understand taking the road less traveled. There is nothing greater we can give our children, than to teach them God’s Word and live by example. I am forever thankful to have that blessing of teaching in my life from my own mother.
Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, so also death was passed on to all men, because all sinned.
Ephesians 6:1-3 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” (which is the first commandment with a promise) “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”
Deuteronomy 4:9 Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.
