Mandi's Weekly Challenge

Weekly Challenge: Know whose team you belong to, there is only two destinations in this life, be sure your daily life represents your team.

Every day we see people wearing hats, shirts, displaying flags and logos of who they support. Avid sports fans wear Cardinals attire, Monroe City Panther logos and we even go as far to mark our cars with political stickers as to who we belong to.

Where in the daily life, as you set out about your day, do you put on the armor of God and wear it proudly, loudly and boldly? I would hope you can say it is never taken off, shined up each morning and ready to be seen  brightly in each day. It is our responsibility to make God’s team first in our lives, so others will know where you belong.

Do people around you know what and who your stand for? There are only two teams and only one gets the victory. You may think a little bit of the wrong team is okay, but the bible says you cannot serve two masters and nothing is hidden from God. We are on a journey, either to Heaven or Hell, and you decide each day which path you choose to walk. Tomorrow is not promised and we are called to be ready, sober and alert every day.

Just because something is lawful does not make it okay to do, the real question is does it edify or build up in a way that Glorifies the Lord. If it does not build up the Body of Christ (believers) then we shouldn’t do it. If you give in to wrong behavior, refusing to turn from the act, then you serve a losing Master (Satan) and will go down with him. Join the winning side, serve God, have victory and expand the Kingdom. Say No to anything that doesn’t edify God!

Matthew 6:24 No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth (anything other than God).

I Corinthians 6:19-20 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own, you were bought with a price. Therefore, honor God with your body.

Ephesians 6:11-13 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
