Recently I had a long conversation with a wise gentleman whom I look up to. We spoke of the past, we spoke of the future. We spoke of loved ones, though not directly, we both knew what the other meant. With a mist of tear in our eyes we had a deep conversation. While listening to him speak, I knew his honesty was the kind I should cherish. He spoke of a prediction he had read about how the first half of this century will get bad, and how it will get better the second half, but our children will have to clean up the mess that has been created.
Last night I had one of those sleepless nights where I thought of how our world as we knew it as a child has changed and how much more it could change before it gets better again. I thought of the tiny babies being born into this uncertain world. I prayed for our country, for the unhealthy and for all of our wellbeing. This past weekend brought on more tough moments for our little town and our country; all while we celebrated as a community with many events. We have endured a lot in the past few weeks, all of which still seems very surreal, but it will get better. This too shall pass, If He brings you to it, He will bring you through it.
Now more than ever as a Christian Nation we should stand up for our beliefs and for our rights. Protecting those we love.
