Weekly Challenge: Make yourself accountable to God.

Monroe City

Accountability makes a person responsible for one’s actions. In life, we are held accountable by many people, our parents, teachers, principle, boss, community and friends to name only a few. Everyone is called to be accountable in some way. Husbands and wives are accountable to be faithful to each other. Children are called to be accountable in their obedience to parents. Employees are called to be accountable to their employers and students are called to be accountable to their teachers.

Being held accountable starts with the person, makes someone responsible for their own actions. We all have areas in our life we can improve on. Nothing is hidden from God and we should be living in such a way our actions can be found favorable in God’s eyes.

God has no favorites with His children. He loves us all the same, unconditionally. He also holds us all accountable, unconditionally. This means, each person will have to answer for their actions here on earth and how each of us spent our time on the opportunities given to spread His unfailing love to all His children.

Accountability to God’s Word is the difference between success and failure. To live by the Word of God brings victory. To live against the Word of God brings defeat. We are given the free will to be accountable for everything we do from

how we speak to others to how we take care of our own selves.

If God were to personally visit your home today, what would you need to clean up or change for it to be worthy of His visit. God never leaves you, and sees all and knows all. Make your house and self accountable before the one and only True God.

Romans 14:12 So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.

Ezekiel 33:8When I say to the wicked, ‘You wicked person, you will surely die,’ and you do not speak out to dissuade them from their ways, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.”

Matthew 12:25 Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.”
