Weekly Challenge: Try to view the work you do as a blessing God has given you to bring increase in your life.

Mandi's Weekly Challenge

Give God the Glory for the job given and remember it is His work we have been brought here to do.

The scripture states anything which brings increase is a gift from above. Our jobs we do daily bring increase to our homes, to others and provide for us in this earthly home.

Don’t lose thought at the bigger picture. God is who we are working for, doing our best to give Him Glory through all our daily deeds. The responsibilities you have a work, can be used to glorify God. Although some days may be more frustrating than others, those days are just more reminders to give praise to the provider-God-who is capable of the impossible.

This week I reported to The Lake Gazette to glorify God for the last time as my full-time job. For five years I have sought to bring God glory in my hometown. I vowed to use my space as a voice for God. I covered many events and tried to bring light to others as much as possible. Not all subjects in the news are incredibly well received and I heard far more praise than I have discouragement. In the discouragement, I have learned some great lessons.

I have been blessed with a new opportunity which I feel God is leading me to. A new season for me to give Him glory. I am grateful I will be able to continue the Weekly Challenge for the time being. I also pray that whoever gets my position, is equally grateful for all it has to offer. There is much to be learned as a hometown editor and reporter. My five years here at The Lake Gazette have been full of wonderful opportunities and memories.

A huge thanks to Consetta for taking me in and giving me the opportunity to grow, becoming my sister in Christ and giving me an irreplaceable friendship.

To my readers who have enjoyed this column, Thank you for all the compliments and encouragement. I pray it continues to help encourage and grow relationships with Jesus Christ.

Remember to work with the right motive—to give God Glory and watch Him work in your life.

Ephesians 6:7 Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people

Ephesians 6:10-11 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
