Weekly Challenge: Identify an area you need to improve on and ask Jesus to help you overcome the weakness.

change

We all have weakness. We all have areas that could use improvements. My challenge was inspired through writing this week’s edition of the Monthly Spotlight feature. Coach Brock Edris shared one of his quotes he likes that states, “If your early you are on time, if you are on time your late.” This is something I have always struggled with, being on time. I’m almost sure my family just expects me to be late to most places---I even got to be the turtle in my sister’s latest book.

If you haven’t seen her latest children’s book, “Rejoice, Rejoice, For This is the Day the Lord Has Made”, consider checking it out on Amazon. It would make a great Easter gift.

We can all overcome our weaknesses if we just ask Jesus to help us. We can have a new mindset and operate through the power of the Holy Spirit to be strong even when we feel weak. Perhaps being a few minutes late all the time does not seem like a weakness, but it truly does show the fruit of not being diligent of the time God blesses us with. I have decided I am going to be more alert to my time, and spend it more wisely growing in the strength of Jesus Christ.

I pray everyone has a blessed week celebrating the resurrection power that was given to us at the cross. This is something we should celebrate every day. Join me in celebrating our Savior Jesus Christ by finding something you can improve on and put your mind to focusing on overcoming.

We were created to be overcomers, blessed and highly favored, a new creation in Christ, loved and wanted with promises of increase. Happy Resurrection Day to all our readers and may you have a wonderful holiday.

1 John 2:14    I have written to you, fathers, because you know Him who has been from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

Revelation 2:17 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, to him I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and a new name written on the stone which no one knows but he who receives it.’

John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believe in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live
