The Monroe City Swimming Pool celebrated their last day of operation for the summer on Sunday, August 11. The pool hosted an end of summer pool party for the swimmers to enjoy.
Upon arrival, guests were asked to enter their name in a door prize raffle. Throughout the evening, the lifeguards assisted the children in games for a chance to win prizes. Little ones played games attempted to collect the most balls in the shallow end, while the older kids had relay races in the swimming lanes. There were also diving board competitions which included best dive, cannon ball, biggest splash, less splash and belly flop.
Door prizes were awarded to those in attendance when their names were drawn. Prizes included gift cards to area businesses. Two family season passes were awarded for the 2020 swimming season. The first winner was Brad Cheek, who donated his pass to the Baymiller family and the second winner was Reese Flick.
