The Monroe City Rural Fire Protection District was pleasantly surprised by a generous donation on July 22. Fire Chief Rich Enochs confirmed a check in the amount of $50,000 was received by mail and the person has asked to remain anonymous.

Fire Chief Rich Enochs says, “Our community has blessed the M.C.F.D. And we really appreciate everything that people do to help us. This money will go in the bank for now and I will have a talk with the fire fighters and see what the needs are.”
