The Monroe City Ministerial Alliance held a community praise service during the Fourth of July weekend, not only celebrating the independence of America, but also the independent freedom to serve Jesus Christ. The  service representing approximately 75 community brothers and sisters coming together to share their faith.

The service replaced church services for two area churches, encouraging their congregations to join in unity at the outdoor praise service held at St. Judes Park. The service included several different musicians sharing their gifts and talents in music through instruments and vocals. Including Jennifer Brosi, Tereasa Bassett, PJ Washington, Paul Washington, Ed Washington and Randy and Carla Jarman.
