Pathers use strong fourth quarter to pull win from Hannibal Jan. 10

The Panthers would open up the first quarter with a barrage of three point shots from Ryan Moss (three 3’s) to shoot the Pirates out of their 1-2-2 zone. Monroe City would lead 15-9 after the first quarter. The Pirates would claw back and lead 25-24 going into half time.

Both teams struggled to score in the 3rd quarter making the score 31-29 in Hannibal’s favor.

Monroe City’s aggressiveness and execution against Hannibal’s trapping defense led to 19 points for the Panthers and a victory 50-39.

The Panthers were led by Reece Buhlig with 12 points. Both Quincy Mayfield and Ryan Moss added 10 points. Jaylyn Countryman and Brent Holland each had six points. Toby Sapp, Landan Holland, and Blake Pfanner each added two points.
