Monroe City shot a 195 and was led by Tanner Beaver’s 47. Landon Utterback was close behind with a 48, Ely Parr with a 49 and Reece Buhlig with a 51. Grady Mudd had a 53. Tanner and Grady were playing in their first Varsity match.
The Jr. Varsity won their match with a team score of 221 to Highland’s 269.
The JV was led by Aidan Oswald with a 50, Mason Shoemate (51), Rhett Watson (57). Monroe City 4th score was a 63 with Ben Lemongelli and Lane Willard each carding the score. Draven Johnson also played and had a 69.
Coach Galloway quoted, I thought all the guys played well today, the Par 3, 9th Hole being an island green is intimidating for seasoned players. Only about 4 of us had been here, so for the others it was their first experience with it. They didn’t back away and gave it their best shot. Grady recorded a 4 on it and was of just a couple of players for both teams to not put one in the pond.
