A popular event, the Miniature Draft/Pony Pull will begin on Saturday, July 13, at 6:30 p.m.

The Fiftieth Annual Mark Twain Old Threshers’ Show will take place July 11-14, at the Paris Fairgrounds. The show will feature IH and Farmall, but all makes and models are welcome. This year the show will be hosting the Missouri International Harvester Club-Chapter Number One.

There will be a Flea Market, Conservation Exhibits, Rope Making, Antique Farming Operations, Early Day Gas Engines and Farm Tractors, and Saw and Shingle Mill Operations.

On Thursday, July 11, Biscuits and Gravy and Cinnamon Rolls will be served from 7-9 a.m. Registration for Tractor Cruise starts at 8 a.m. and they will leave the Fairgrounds at 9 a.m. Bill Griffin, Chairman can be reached at 573-721-3681 for more information.

The Fish Fry will begin at 5:30 p.m. and continue until the food runs out. The price is $10 per plate and $5 for 6 and under. This will get you lots of good eating. The fish will be cooked by the Madison West Monroe Fire Protection District. There will be musical entertainment too.

On Friday, July 12, breakfast will again be served from 7-9 a.m. and the gates will open at 2 p.m.

The Baby Show will begin at 6 p.m. It is open to all babies and they do not have to be Monroe County residents. A button will be required for accompanying adults. Registration will begin at 5 p.m. Boys and Girls Divisions are: 0-6 months, 7-12 months, 13-18 months, 19-24 months, and 25-35 months. There will be an Overall Grand Champion and Lil’ Mr. and Miss Contest ages 3-5 year old. For questions concerning the contest contact Melissa Graupman, Chairman at 573-473-6991. Starting at 6:30 p.m., there will be a Miniature Draft/Pony Pull with weigh-in at 3:30 p.m. It will be held at the south end in the Arena. Contact Joe White at 660-651-3921 for more information. The Corn Hole Tournament will start at 6:30 p.m. by Big White Tent. The Ridge Runners Band will start playing at 8 p.m.

On Saturday, July 13, breakfast will again be served from 7-9 a.m. The Parade will start at 10 a.m. with Line Up behind the Grandstands at 9 a.m. with registration from 8-9a.m. The Jack Beamer Memorial Antique Car and Truck Show will be held after the Parade from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Parking and Registration will be on West Side of the Fairgrounds by the Open Shelter. Missouri State Saddle Club Association Horse Show will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Contact Eric Joiner 573-470-0379 for more information. The Auction will be held at 1 p.m. The Washers Tournament will start at 2 p.m. by the Big White Tent. The Garden Tractor Pull will start at 2 p.m. on the Pulling Track. The Antique Classic Tractor Pull registration will start at 2 p.m. and will be begin around 3 p.m. The chairman for this event is Mark Sprock 573-470-5389.

For the evening of July 13, the Professional Draft Horse Pull will start at 6 p.m., for more information contact Joe Miller at 573-682-0048. The Ridge Runners Band will again wind up the evening starting at 8 p.m.

On Sunday, July 14, there will be another MO State Saddle Club Association Horse Show starting at 11 a.m. in the Arena.

There will be no need to be hungry as the Mark Twain Old Threshers’ Food Booth will be serving Brisket and BBQ pork steak meals, hamburgers, brats, hot dogs, and walking tacos. Cold drinks will also be available including: soda pop, tea. bottled water, and lemonade will also be available.

A $5 Admission Button will be good for all shows and events. 12 years and under will be admitted free with an adult. 16 and Under must have parental supervision. Program Books will be available.

The speed limit on the Grounds is 5 mph and there is a $5 fee for all personal transportation vehicles. They must be registered at the Booth and display assigned numbers at all times. No ATVs allowed and you must be 16 or older to drive any transportation vehicle. Not responsible for accidents, injuries, or theft.
