Monroe City Panthers Dominant in 48-8 Win Over Clark County
The Monroe City Panthers put together an all-around performance on Friday night, throttling Clark County 48-8 in a game where their offense and defense both shined. The Panthers improved to 8-3 on the season, behind a potent offensive attack and a suffocating defensive effort that left the Clark County Indians struggling to gain traction. Offensive Explosion Monroe City's offense was firing on all cylinders, piling up 48 points and over 400 yards of total offense. Senior running back Dylan Ross was the standout performer, rushing for 92 yards and two touchdowns on just seven carries. Ross also caught a 5-yard touchdown pass, showcasing his versatility and playmaking ability. "Dylan had a huge game tonight," said Monroe City head coach David Kirby. "He's one of those players who can break a big play every time he touches the ball, and we saw that tonight." Fellow running back Quincy Mayfield was equally impressive, fin ishing with 91 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. His tough, physical running kept the Clark County defense on its heels, helping set up big plays for the Panthers throughout the game. "Our offensive line did a great job of opening up holes, and that allowed both Dylan and Quincy to make plays," said Kirby.
