The Monroe City High School Tournament has always been a centerpiece of local excitement, but this year’s 100th Anniversary edition proved to be an unforgettable celebration of talent, determination, and community pride. Over the course of the week, the gymnasium was packed with fans whose cheers and energy created a festival- like atmosphere, culminating in a dramatic Championship Saturday.

MCR1 The Monroe City Lady Panthers rallied after a sluggish first half to defeat Montgomery County on Friday, using an aggressive defensive effort and balanced scoring to pull away in the second half.

The Monroe City Panthers hit the court with energy and determination on November 26, defeating the Moberly Spartans 59-45 in a thrilling home opener. The game showcased the Panthers’ resilience and depth as 11 players contributed to the scoreboard.
