City Council hears department reports in regular session
The Monroe City Board of Alderman met in a regular session meeting, on November 7 in the City Council Chambers. Present for the meeting were Mayor Ronald Miller, Alderman Loree Quinn, Adrain Saunders, Greg Smith, Robin Simpson and Mike Schneider. The board heard reports from several different departments during the meeting.

A motion was made by Alderman Robin Simpson, seconded by Alderman Loree Quinn approving the accounts payable presented for November 7, and considered warrants approved by the Mayor since the last council meeting. motion passed unanimously.

During the week of November 4, students from Holy Rosary School and Monroe City R-1 School came together for a food drive. Organized by the Hometown Volunteers, benefiting the organization’s “Christmas is Caring” program.
