The DTMC Christmas Stroll was blessed with Christmas spirit, proving that not even a little rain could dampen the enthusiasm of vendors and patrons eager to partake in this yearly community event on Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Taking place amidst the seasonal charm of downtown, participants found solace and warmth as many vendors gracefully transitioned to indoor locations such as Maddie's on Main, Monroe Station, Diva's Christmas Store, and Rae of Sweetness. These cozy venues served as perfect havens for festive enjoyment, sustaining the joyful atmosphere of the Stroll.

Donate live Christmas trees to MDC after the holiday season

The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) invites Missourians to drop off their live Christmas trees to be used for habitat improvement around central Missouri. MDC will accept trees at the following locations from Jan. 1, 2025, through Jan. 31, 2025: MDC's Central Regional Office at 3500 E. Gans Road in Columbia Washington Park near Vivion Field in Jefferson City Proctor Park in California To donate your tree (real trees only), please remove all decorations and bring the tree to the drop-off site of your choosing. Signage at this location will direct donors to the proper dropoff spot.
