Former Monroe County Public Administrator sent back to jail for violating house arrest

A former Monroe County Public Administrator who faced 34 counts of forgery and stealing was recently sent back to jail on a warrant issued by Monroe County courts after it was discovered that she was not abiding the regulations of her house arrest. According to court documentation, Jessica Chase, 46 of Paris Missouri, served as the Monroe County Public Administrator from January 3, 2021 until her resignation in February of 2024.

Monroe City Police Department warns about counterfeit money found in circulation

The Monroe City Police Department recently sent out a warning to the community on their social media page letting residents know that counterfeit money has been found in circulation in the area. According to the police department’s social media post made on June 30, twenty-dollar bills in circulation within Monroe City have been identified as counterfeit.
