A former Monroe County Public Administrator who faced 34 counts of forgery and stealing was recently sent back to jail on a warrant issued by Monroe County courts after it was discovered that she was not abiding the regulations of her house arrest. According to court documentation, Jessica Chase, 46 of Paris Missouri, served as the Monroe County Public Administrator from January 3, 2021 until her resignation in February of 2024.

According to the police department’s social media post made on June 30, twenty-dollar bills in circulation within Monroe City have been identified as counterfeit.
