As outlined last week, a beloved Monroe City dining spot, BK's Restaurant, has reopened its doors at a brand-new location of 122 East Summers Street as of Monday, November 11. Known for its homestyle meals and welcoming atmosphere, BK's now offers a convenient, modern take on traditional service.
A Heartfelt Thank You
My family and I would like to send a huge thank you to the ALL the fire departments that assisted with the fire on our family farms, our roughly 500 acre brush fire between Route A and Gentry Road, over the past couple of days. Also a big thank you to Monroe City Ambulance District for standing by for rehab, Ralls County Sheriff's Department for traffic control and drone, Monroe County Dispatch & NECOM for helping with communication, AirCover Crop Solutions for doing air drops on the hard to reach spots, and last but not least the good lord for finally giving us a good much needed rain to hopefully keep it knocked down for good now!! Your hard work does not go unnoticed, and we will be forever grateful!
