Members of Salt River Federated Republican Women plan for the 2020 Lincoln Day Soup Supper to be held Saturday, February 29. Soup, sandwiches, relishes and dessert will be served beginning at 6 p.m., at the Shelbina Senior Center, 112 E. Chestnut Street, Shelbina. Free will offering accepted.
Chris Chinn, Missouri Director of Agriculture will speak on the China Trade Agreement; United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement and Animal Health Issues. Local farmers are especially interested in exploring the opportunity to hear and bring their questions to Director Chinn.
In other business at their monthly second Monday meeting on February 10, SRFRW members Lisa Brown, Kathleen Wilham, President Myrna Schroy, Donna Myers, Barbara Greenwell, Betty Brown, Mary Kraichely, Nancy Schneblin, Debbie Vannoy and MoFRW District 6 President and SRFRW Vice President Kathy Chinn: **joined in the Pledge of Allegiance; **devotion from Dr. Don Kuhle on “Leap Year” which provides 366 days for doing good things given by Chaplain Donna Myers; ** acceptance of the consent agenda—minutes and treasurer’s report; **learned clubs pay $10 dues to 6th District, a training session is online for County Committee, and **a local SRFRW webpage is being designed.
President Schroy adjourned the meeting. The next meeting will be held at 9:00 a.m., Monday, March 9, at the Shelbina Family Restaurant.
