ELSIE MILLER

 Elsie Shirley Miller, 96, of Monroe City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Baptist Home in Shelbina, Missouri.
 Elsie was born on January 6, 1929, in Grundy County, Missouri, the daughter of Hugh and Pearl (Hart) Robertson. She was a proud graduate of Hunnewell High School in Hunnewell, Missouri.
 A faithful member of New Oakland Baptist Church in Ralls County, Elsie remained active in the church community as long as her health allowed. Throughout her life, she worked in many roles, including at Henderson Produce, The Shoe Factory, Dr. Ellis Hospital, and Kulhman Diecasting. She was known for her strong work ethic and kind spirit.
 Elsie had a love for the simple joys of life. She found great pleasure in crocheting, gardening, canning, and spending cherished time with her family and friends, whom she loved deeply.
 On August 8, 1959, Elsie married Virgil Simon Miller. He preceded her in death on September 7, 2013.
 She is survived by her son, Brian Miller (Amy) of Stover, MO; her daughter, Lorena Lake and significant other Terry Stallard of Monroe City, MO; three grandchildren, Michelle Hendrix (Josh), Erich Miller, and Heather Lake; two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; and one sister, Alpha Jarman (Jim) of Monroe City, MO. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.
 Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her grandson, Dakota Lake; her sister, Marjorie Cullifer; her brothers, Dale Troxel and Bill Robertson; her infant brother, Donald Robertson; and her stepdaughters, Margaret Luna and Roberta Hirsh.
 Funeral services were held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at New Oakland Baptist Church in Ralls County, Missouri, with Rev. Glenn Hammond officiating. Burial followed at Oakland Cemetery in Ralls County. Visitation was held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
 Active pallbearers were Wayne Robertson, Bill Robertson, Rick Robertson, Alan Jarman, Tom Sickmann, and Randy Wisdom. Honorary pallbearers were Elsie’s remaining nieces and nephews.
 Memorials are suggested to Oakland Cemetery, Ralls County, MO.
