Jamie Lee Walker, age 39, passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. Born on December 4, 1985, to Mau­rice Talton and Estelle Alene Hawkins, Jamie was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend.
 He attended Monroe City High School and was an active member of Stewart-Carter Temple Church. Jamie found joy in the simple things in life, including hunting, fishing, and restoring old cars. His love for the outdoors and hands-on work was a big part of who he was, and he shared those passions with the people who knew him.
 Jamie is survived by his mother, Estelle Hawkins; his father, Dale Hawkins; his son, Jamie Lee Walker, Jr.; and three sisters, Tasha Walker(Lavar), Whitney Jones (Tommie), and Alice Hawkins (Bob), all of Columbia, Missouri. He also leaves behind his cher­ished grandmother, Alice Talton, and grandfather Rufus Walker of Jacksonville, Florida, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who will all miss him dearly.
 He was preceded in death by his father, Maurice Talton; his grandparents, Sonnie Talton and Barbara Talton also Clifford Talton Jr.; and his nephew, Tommie Jones Jr.
 Jamie’s family takes comfort in knowing that his spirit will live on through the memories and love he left behind.
 Funeral services will be held at Garner Funeral Chapel in Monroe City, Missouri. The date and time of the service are pending.
 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Jamie’s family to assist with funeral expenses.
 He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
