Born into a life that valued the joys of simple pleasures and the importance of family, Velda spent her years dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming home. Her hands, always busy and her spirit, ever willing, Velda was the epitome of a life well-lived. She found profound joy in her travels, from the historic sights of Europe to the tranquil lakes of Canada, where she enjoyed fishing trips unlike any other and winters were spent under the Arizona sun. She relished the company of her grandchildren and the warmth of family gatherings.
Velda’s interests were as rich and varied as the life she led. She was an avid reader, with a particular passion for historical shows that allowed her to travel through time within the pages of her books or the flicker of the screen. Her love for genealogy was more than a hobby; it was a journey through her ancestry, a tale of the past that she lovingly pieced together for future generations.
Music was one of Velda’s greatest joys, playing the piano by ear with a talent that seemed to flow effortlessly through her. Her love for older country, gospel, and bluegrass filled her home with melodies that are now cherished memories. Arizona jam sessions with friends were the highlight of her winters, where laughter and music were shared with kindred spirits.
Velda’s service extended beyond her family; she was a familiar face at the VFW, where she helped serve breakfast with a side of kindness. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the harmony of her life’s song will resonate in the hearts of those she touched.
Velda was Baptist by Faith.
Pallbearers will be Dana Ogle, Jeff Ogle, Ronnie Ogle II, and Greg Ogle.
Memorial contributions may be made to VFW or American Heart Association.
