ROBERT HAWKINS

 Robert Dale Hawkins, 61, of Monroe City, MO, passed away at 4:56 am, Thursday, July 10, 2025, at his home in Monroe City, MO.
 Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at the O’Donnell-Thurman Life Celebration Home in Monroe City, MO. Superinten­dent Charles Stevenson and Bishop Mark Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Jude’s Cemetery in Monroe City, MO.
 Friends and Family are invited to Dale’s Life Celebration at a visitation to be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at the O’Donnell-Thurman Life Celebration Home in Monroe City, MO.
 Arrangements are under the direction of the O’Donnell-Thurman Life Celebration Home in Mon­roe City, MO.
 Dale was born March 5, 1964, in Hannibal, MO to Harry Lee Hawkins and Flossie Janetta Cannon Haw­kins. He was married to Estelle Walker Hawkins on August 27, 1987, in Hannibal, MO. She survives.
 Other survivors include his children, Tasha Walker (Lavar White) of Columbia, MO, Whitney (Tommy) Jones of Springfield, IL, Alice Hawkins (Bobby Mason) of Columbia, MO, brother, Torrell (Angie) Hawkins of Hannibal, MO, sisters, Anna (Ronald) Thomas of Bowling Green, MO, Tracy Andrews of New London, MO, Kim Pence of New London, MO, grandchildren, Amari, Za’Kiyah, Za’Miyah, Ny’Asia, La’Var, Jr., Robert, Jr., Malachi, Genesis, Bobby, Jr., Elexus, Xion, Miami, Temple, Jamie, Jr., Aliyah, Jaylon, Dominique and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and in-laws.
 Dale was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Richard Hawkins, Charles Hawkins, sister, Cathy Washington, son, Jamie Lee Walker and grandson, Tommy Jones, Jr.
 Dale spent many fulfilling years working at PACE and Robey Lumber Yard, where he was not only a dedicated employee but also a friend to all.
 Outside of work, Dale was a man of diverse interests. He was an avid fan of the LA Lakers and the KC Chiefs, or getting lost in the latest bad boys and cop shows. His love for travel took him to places like Atlanta GA, Myrtle Beach, and Branson, where he created countless memories.
 Dale had a passion for cars that went beyond just collecting them. He spent countless hours working on cars, a skilled mechanic.
Dale’s love for the outdoors was evident in his fondness for hunting and fishing. South Lake, Mark Twain Lake, and Indian Creek were among his favorite spots to cast a line.
 Dale never missed an opportunity to tease and joke around, bringing laughter to any room he entered. His sense of humor was a gift that he generously shared, brightening the lives of those around him.
 When it came to food, Dale had a hearty appetite for BBQ and fried fish, and he could never resist the sweet temptation of his favorite candy barsSnickers, Reese’s, and Whatchamacallit’s. An ice-cold Dr. Pepper was often his beverage of choice.
Music was another source of comfort and inspiration for Dale. He found solace in gospel music, especially the songs of Fred Hammond. His favorite song, “No Weapon,” was a reflection of his faith and the strength he drew from it.
 Dale had a strong faith and passion for serving as Pastor at Stuart Carter Temple Church of God and Christ in New London for 12 years.
 His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his memory will continue to inspire joy and kindness in all who were touched by his presence.
 Pallbearers are Ed Talton, Clay Talton, Jermaine Talton, Lavar White and Lenny Wood.
