Lucinda Jane “Cindy” Hays

Lucinda “Cindy” J. Hays, 63, of Monroe City, Mis­souri, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, Missouri.
 Born on September 11, 1961, in Hannibal, Missouri, Cindy was the daughter of Jesse and Charlotte Mary (Hern) Beaver. She was baptized at Monroe City Baptist Church at the age of 13 and was a proud 1980 graduate of Monroe City High School.
 Cindy’s strong work ethic defined her life. Over the years, she was employed at Diemakers, Pace Indus­tries, and AccuTherm, all in Monroe City. Most recently, she worked at Lakeside Casting, where she was known for her dedication and warm spirit. Cindy had a genuine love for the people she worked alongside and was respected for her tireless efforts.
 In her free time, Cindy enjoyed bowling, crafting wreaths, and arranging flowerssimple pleasures that reflected her creative soul. But her greatest joy was her family. She deeply loved her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world.
 Cindy was united in marriage to Daniel Robert Hays, who preceded her in death on February 12, 2017.
 She is survived by her three sons: C.J. Mudd (Desiree) and Chris Mudd (Mandi), both of Monroe City, and Brett Beaver (Kelsey) of Warrensburg, Missouri. Also surviving are her cherished grandchildren: Bryson Schachtsiek, Keaton, Karlee, Owen, Charlee, and Warren Mudd, and Braylon and Weston Beaver.
 Cindy leaves behind two sisters, Pam Smith and Wendy Reneau; three brothers, Ted, Ed, and Tim Beaver; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
 She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Shirley Beaver; one brother, Jack Whitehall; and a nephew, Harold “Skeeter” Snow III.
 A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Holy Rosary Church in Monroe City, with Fr. Mike Quinn officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.
 Serving as active pallbearers will be Andy Snow, Tyler Hays, Mark Buckman, Jordan Walkup, Shawn Walker, and Cody Geist. Honorary pallbearers include all of Cindy’s grandchildren and Chase Buckman.

 Cindy will be remembered for her unwavering love, hardworking spirit, and the deep devotion she showed to her family and community. She will be dearly missed.
