Terry M. Shively, 74, of Monroe City, MO passed away at 1:00 am Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, MO.
 Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the O’Donnell-Thurman Life Celebration Home in Monroe City, MO. Father Mi­chael Quinn will officiate. Burial with full Military Honors performed by Boots-Dickson Post #174 of the American Legion will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Monroe City, MO.
 Friends and Family are invited to Terry’s Life Celebra­tion at a visitation that will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at the funeral home.
 Arrangements are under the direction of the O’Donnell-Thurman Life Celebration Home in Mon­roe City, MO.
 Terry was born February 7, 1951, in Hannibal, MO to Carl Shively and T.C. Quinn Shively.
 He was married to Linda Foster on March 10, 1972, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Monroe City, MO. She preceded him in death on November 21, 2020.
 Survivors include his daughters, Stacey (J.L.) Shuck of Monroe City, MO, Tara (Larry) Fortner of Monroe City, MO, son, Kenny Shively of Monroe City, MO, siblings, Rich (Dorothy) Shively of Monroe City, MO, Jody (Debby) Shively of Monroe City, MO, Lesa Frosch of Monroe City, MO, Carla (Jerry) Liby of Carl Junction, MO, Steve (Lisa) Shively of Monroe City, MO, John (Sharon) Shively of Hannibal, MO, grandchildren, Mercedes Fortner (Cory Putnam), Joh­nathan Shuck, Olivia (Chandler AKA Coach) Purcell, Lauren (Camden) Uplinger, Riley Fortner, Matt Shively, Jevin Shively, Macy Shuck, great grandchild, Eden Uplinger and numerous nieces and nephews.
 Terry was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother-in-law, Louie Frosch.
 Terry was a US Army Veteran and a Teletype Operator in Germany. Professionally, he worked as a diecast operator for Diemakers and served as Fire Chief of the Monroe City Fire Department, always proud of its service and heritage.
 Terry was known for his impeccable punctuality and organization. Always making sure that everything was clean and in place. He was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed wholesome pleasures like Busch NA (Nana Approved), milk and cookies, and Linda’s Fried Chicken. He made unforgettable memo­ries at Mt. Rushmore with his son, enjoyed Florida vacations with his girls, and cherished Idaho trips with his beloved Linda. He enjoyed playing poker at the Shed House or Peckers Point. A fan of John Wayne movies, Gunsmoke, Hannity, Cops, Wheel of Fortune, and of course the ’Deal or No Deal’ girls! Terry used to listen to Paul Harvey on the Radio, the tunes of Country Gold Saturday Nights, with artists like Ronnie Milsap, Waylon Jennings, and Johnny Cash. He also had a particular fondness for the 3rd verse of David Allan Coe’s “You Never Even Called Me by My Name”.
 Terry’s greatest joys in life were being a husband, father, and known affectionately as ’Papa’ to his grandchildren and ’Pop’ to his great-grandchild. His love for them was boundless. Terry’s sayings, “Daddy Knows”, and “Anything for my girls,” will always echo in the hearts of those who loved him.
 Terry was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

 Pallbearers will be Dennis Gosney, Mike Hays, Keith Hays, Phil Hays, Howard Mudd, Jerry Elliott and Dan Foster.
 Honorary pallbearers will be Pa Pa’s grandchildren.
