 Daniel Patrick Buckman, 63, of Stoutsville, MO, passed away at 2:26 pm, Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at his home.
 A Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:00 AM, Mon­day, March 24, 2025, at the St. Stephen Catholic Church in Indian Creek, MO. Father Greg Oligs­◤CO Check hyphenation◢chlaeger will officiate. Bur­ial will follow at St. Ste­phen Cemetery in Indian Creek, MO.
 Friends and Family are invited to Dan’s Life Celebra­tion at a visitation that was from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the O’Donnell-Thurman Life Celebration Home in Monroe City, MO.
 Arrangements are under the direction of the O’Donnell-Thurman Life Celebration Home in Mon­roe City, MO.
 Dan was born April 28, 1961, in Hannibal, MO to James Gregory Buckman and Joyce Louise Kindred Buckman.
 Dan become a father to Whitney on November 16th, 1990, and considers raising her to become the woman she is today his greatest accomplishment.
 Dan and Becky met on October 20, 1994. On July 1, 2006, they took the sacrament of holy matrimony and became one at St. Stephens Church. They blended their family together, Dan brought Whitney (Jared) Bichsel of Monroe City, MO and Becky brought Sheena (Brian “Scotty”) Williams of Philadelphia, MO, Stevie (Aron) Lee of Hannibal, MO, Shane Powell (Caitlyn Miller) of Monroe City, MO, and Shawn Powell of Monroe City, MO, Dan’s favorite people called him “Pop”. His grandchildren are Tristian Bastian 16, Raina Stone 15, Brody Powell 13, Emma Lee 12, Carson Powell 11, Bryce Bichsel 8, Talan Bichsel 8, Lana Powell 7, Benson Bichsel 6, Jovey Travis 5, Samuel Lee 4, Isaiah Lee 2, Avaya Powell 2, Cana Lee 1 month, and Future Baby Ellie Powell- May 2025. Brother, Ben (Tammy) Buckman of Monroe City, MO, sisters, Mary Lou (Bob) Bohrer of Mexico, MO, Charlotte (Carl) Thompson of Monroe City, MO, Jennifer Garrett of Monroe City, MO, Jackie (Steve) Buckman of Monroe City, MO, sisters-in-law, Deanna Buckman of Stoutsville, MO and Debbie Buckman of Canton, MO, and numerous nieces and nephews.
 Dan was preceded in death by his parents, James Gregory Buckman and Joyce Louise Buckman, his brothers James Gregory Buckman II and Floyd Joseph Buckman, two grandchildren from Sheena, baby Stone and baby Williams, his nephew Floyd Joseph Buckman Jr. and great nephew Garrett Potterfield, his paternal grandparents Lambert and Lida Buckman and maternal grandparents Mary Adeline Dingman and Floyd Newton Kendred, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Daniel was named after his Aunt Lela Patricia Williams (Aunt Pat), and his Uncle Daniel. Dan also claims he was his Pop’s favorite and would ride on the fender of the old Ford Tractor.
 During most of Dan’s early career years were spent at Diemakers for over 20 years where he enjoyed supervising his team. His current and final career was at Farmers Elevator where it brought him joy to serve his fellow farmers within the community as well as working under the direction of Adam Grove. He enjoyed everyone from office personnel to all his fellow co-workers. Dan also spent time on the family farm taking care of nursery pigs and keeping them healthy under Dr Steven Patterson “Passion for Pigs”. Dan enjoyed taking the grandchildren to the nursery to see the lil pigs. Dan took pride with his career life and would quote “Life is Good”, and that he got to go to work instead of had to go to work!
 Dan enjoyed family time even if it was just simply visiting each one of them. He loved to have cookouts, while playing cornhole with his brother-in-law Larry and all the guys. Dan looked forward to an annual 23 year running vacation at Lake of the Ozarks at KK Ranch with his lifelong friends. He loved to tinker in the yard or garage and feeding the birds and squirrels. Dan was always a sharp dresser and valued his belongings. He also enjoyed a “cold one” or what he called a bottom feeder. Dan enjoyed camping at Indian Creek and spent countless hours boating and skiing on Mark Twain Lake. A talented woodworker, Dan’s hands skillfully crafted, shelves, crosses and various other treasures. He also liked restoring old Radio Flyer wagons and had an admiration for Allis Chalmers Tractors and a special Ford 8N. Dan was an avid KC Chiefs fan and enjoyed the classic rock sounds of Whitesnake and Def Leppard. Memorable trips to Jamica, Las Vegas and Maui which included an unforgettable return home to a Black Tie concert for his 40th birthday.
 Dan was a member of Knights of Columbus and St. Stephens Catholic Church (Swinkey). Dan attended Tec, Quest, Cursillo and the Fourth Day. He was on the board for St. Stephen’s cemetery committee, was a member of the Jaycees in his younger years and enjoyed parking cars or taking meal tickets at the Swinkey Annual Picnic. Dan attended all his class reunions after graduating from Monroe City Class of 1980.
 Dan’s faith, family, and friends were the cornerstone of his life and his vibrant spirit and the memories he created will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
 Pallbearers will be Jeff Kendrick, Jeff Spalding, Jeff Raetz, Roger Berry, Steven Mudd, James Massey, Larry Fortner, Brad Porter, Glenn Bichsel, Mark Thompson, Tony Griffin, and Adam Grove.
 Honorary pallbearers will be Mary Kendrick, Kim Spalding, Judy Raetz, Brenda Berry, Cathy Mudd, Sherry Massey, Tara Fortner, Shelly Bichsel, Lindsay Thompson, and Tracy Grove.
 Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen Catholic Church or St. Stephen Catholic Cemetery.
