Danny Ray Donovan, 73, of Monroe City, MO, passed away at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
 Graveside services will be held at a later date at Warren Cemetery.
 Arrangements for cremation are under the direction of the O’Donnell-Thurman Life Celebration Home in Monroe City, MO.
 Danny was born November 17, 1951, in Monroe City, MO. He is the son of Raymond Roy Donovan and Julia Francis Lilly Donovan.
 Survivors include, sister, Vinnie Sue Ellen Klapel of Vancouver, WA, sister-in-law, Minnie Sue Donovan of Monroe City, MO, 1 daughter, 2 grandchildren, nieces, Kathy, Bonnie Sue, Cindy, nephews, Anthony, Brandon, Gary, 1 stepson, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
 Danny was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Philip Robert Donovan, Lewis McKim Donovan, Roy Preston Donovan, sister, Judy Ramona Ward, and nephew Frank Donovan.
 His early fascination with mechanics and transport led him to a fulfilling career as a Truck Driver and Truck Mechanic. Known on the road by his trucking handle “Gold Wing,” Danny was not just a man who moved goods; he moved hearts with his jovial spirit and his ever-present willingness to lend a hand.
 Born to a close-knit family, Danny was a source of strength and camaraderie to his brothers, with whom he shared countless hours working on vehicles and engaging in great conversation.
 Danny’s passion for life was paralleled by his dedication to his country, having served with honor in the Marines. His discipline and patriotism were outshined only by his humility and the love he had for his fellow servicemen and women. Danny carried out his military values throughout his life, inspiring others with his work ethic and integrity.
 Danny thoroughly enjoyed mushroom hunting, a hobby that allowed him to explore nature and share his finds with friends and family.
 His faithful companion was his dog, Rusty, together, they were inseparable, sharing adventures and moments of quiet companionship.
 Children brought out the best in Danny. He was a kid at heart, forever young and spirited, spreading joy with his special saying since childhood, “Money Money Money,” a phrase that will resonate with those who knew him.
 Danny will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us.
