EMMA JO MUDD

Emma Jo Mudd, age 102, of Monroe City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Monroe City Manor. She was born on May 23, 1922, to John Leslie Pike and Opal Mary Pike.
Emma was a proud graduate of Holy Rosary Schools, Class of 1940. She married Joseph Owen Mudd on September 7, 1944, and together they built a life filled with love, faith, and family. As a dedicated home­maker, Emma’s life was centered around caring for her family, and she was a cherished mother and grandmother. Emma also worked at Diemakers, where she contributed to her community and was known for her hardworking spirit.
 Emma was a devout Catholic and a long-time member of Holy Rosary Church. She was actively involved in her faith community, including membership in D.O.I, the Alter Society, and the Fidelis Club.
 Emma is survived by her sons, Anthony “Tony” Mudd (Ruth) of Omaha, Nebraska; Charles “Chuck” Mudd and Timothy “Tim” Mudd of Monroe City, Missouri; daughters R. Leslie Jones and C. Ann Sorg (Chris) of Indiana; as well as 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
 She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Joseph, her daughter Connie Mudd, her brothers Francis and Don Pike, her sister Bernice Pike, and her son-in-law Bruce Jones.
 Funeral services are pending and will be handled by Garner Funeral Home.
 Emma’s legacy of love, faith, and service to her family and community will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
