JOHN (JACK) ANTHONY YEGGE

Mr. John (Jack) Anthony Yegge, of Warrenton, MO, passed away peacefully with his family and Buster by his side, on Monday, December 30, 2024. He was born on July 22, 1943, in Woodstock, IL, to the late Norbert and Marie (nee: Sullivan) Yegge. John had reached the age 81 years.
John was united in marriage to Joyce Ann (nee: Motulewicz) Yegge on February 8, 1964, and to this union they were blessed with five children. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy. John was a member and chaplain of the American Legion, a mechanical engineer by trade. John was an inspector for the Warrenton Fire Department after his retirement. A lover of the outdoors, John found peace spending his time hunting, fishing, and camping. he also raised chickens and ducks. He harbored a passion for genealogy and history. John was a keen observer and thinker, always eager to discuss historical events. He also enjoyed woodworking. John’s greatest love was visiting with his family and spending as much time with them. He loved his dog “Buster” dearly, they were always by each other’s sides.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce; five children, Jeff Yegge (Mary Jo), Jennifer Frend, Janine Inlow (Raymond), John Yegge Jr. (Pam), and Joe Yegge (Amy); ten grandchildren, Jessica, Dylan, Bill, Gabby, Ashley, Hailey, Jack, Torie, Wyatt, Canon; and his canine companion, Buster; six great grandchildren, Emersyn, Blake, Sofia, Julia, Garrett, and Isabelle; other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Marie Yegge; one son in law, William Frend; and one brother in law, Mark Motulewicz.
John’s family will host a visitation from 4:00PM- 8:00PM Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton, MO. They will have a Funeral Mass at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Thursday, January 9, 2025 beginning at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.
