The See’s Creek Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) will host a banquet dinner at 7 p.m. on October 7 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Monroe City. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased at The Hunting Corner located in the Mark Twain Shopping Center. A single adult ticket is $50 or $65 for a couple. Children or Jake tickets are $25. Anyone interested in being a sponsor couple can do so with the purchase of a $275 ticket.
Locally, See’s Creek Chapter of the NWTF provides a substantial amount of ammunition to the Monroe City FFA Trap team, as well as a $250 scholarship to a senior each year. They also have a seed program which provides wildlife seed for food plots.
Founded in 1973, the National Wild Turkey Federation’s mission is no less urgent today than when it was founded. The NWTF is at a critical juncture for the future of wildlife habitat conservation and the preservation of the hunting heritage.
