The Mark Twain Museum is taking it back to 80’s for their 7th Annual Trivia Night! Join the Museum for an evening of fun, friends and 80’s facts on February 24th at Finn’s Food & Spirits, 215 N. Main, Hannibal. Prize to the “Best” 80’s themed team! So dig deep in those closets, dust off your best 80’s threads and decorate your team table to Rock the 80’s! This year’s trivia event is a fundraiser for the restoration project on the Pilaster House/Grant’s Drugstore.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. with rounds of trivia beginning at 7 p.m. and includes a free team challenge, $5 speed rounds, a 50/50 raffle and silent auction.
Trivia teams consist of up to 10 players per team at $10/10 members or $100 team entry. Teams compete in 10 different categories with 9 rounds inspired by the 1980’s and one round dedicated to Mark Twain. 10 questions per round. Prizes to the first-place team, winners of the team challenge and speed round winners.
Donations for the silent auction as well as sponsors for rounds of trivia are needed. To register your team, donate items to the silent auction or sponsor a round of trivia for $100, contact Melissa Cummins, Marketing and Community Relations Manager at 573-221-9010 ext. 404.
So gather up your friends, don your best 80’s attire and join the Mark Twain Museum for an enjoyable evening! Beverages and snacks available for purchase at event. Snacks may be brought in.
Music Under the Stars Kicking Off
2018 Season with Fundraiser
Shake off those winter blues
and join us for an evening of great music!
The Mark Twain Museum’s summer concert series, Music Under the Stars, is kicking off the 2018 season with a fundraiser featuring Steppin’ Back on March 9th at Finn’s Food & Spirits, downtown Hannibal, MO. Steppin’ Back, a Hannibal favorite, will play from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. at Finn’s Food & Spirits, 215 N. Main. The band is donating their performance that Friday evening to the Music Under the Stars summer concert series and Finn’s Food & Spirits is sponsoring the event.
Music Under the Stars, hosted by the Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum, is held every June through August on Historic Hill Street outside Twain’s Boyhood Home and is free to the public to attend. Each summer artists ranging from Country, Bluegrass, Rock-n-Roll, Blues, Big Band, Soul, Jazz and even Acapella perform at 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and local not-for-profits provide food during the event at nominal costs to raise funds for their organizations.
Cost to attend the Spring Fever Concert is $5, with all proceeds supporting the Music Under the Stars Summer “18 concerts which will kick-off on May 31 with the band Steppin’ Back.

Sign Ups for 2018 Open February 26th
With the turn of the calendar to February, the Tom and Becky Program jumps into full swing. Sign ups for the 2018-2019 Tom and Becky Goodwill Ambassador Program will be held the week of February 26 though March 2 at the Hannibal Middle School, Holy Family School, St. John’s Lutheran School and at the Mark Twain Museum offices located at 120 N. Main, Hannibal.
Started in 1956 to select one young man and one young woman to greet 1200 school children from Saint Louis, this Hannibal tradition has found it’s home at The Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum. Tom and Becky Goodwill Ambassadors continue each year to greet tourists from all over the world, and travel, sharing their knowledge of Twain and Hannibal.
The first step to become a Tom or Becky Goodwill Ambassador is to sign up! Registration is open to ALL 7th grade students of any race or ethnic background who are attending public, private or home-schooled within the Hannibal School District and who reside within the Hannibal Public School District.

An informational meeting for those interested in the program will be held on Tuesday, March 6 at 3:30 pm in the Choir Room of the Hannibal Middle School.
