Swinkey days for kids was held July 11-13. The group this year had 165 participating kids ages 4 and older. Each child received a red t-shirt that had 12 miles from Paris, 9 miles from Florida, 30 miles from Mexico, where is this place? printed on the front with Swinkey, MO on the back. Each day was filled with a schedule using the simple rural setting and rich parish heritage of St. Stephen’s Church to provide an opportunity for the area children to experience God’s goodness and care in recreational, educational and worship activities. This year the leader was Nancy Shively. Shively was presented a quilt made with Swinkey Days T-shirts from years past for her hard work and dedication to Swinkey Days.
