Place of private prayer made available for community

111 S. Main is the home of a private altar for the community to use for individual prayer life and growth.

Come back to the Altar is what the store front of 111 South Main Street reads. An invitation, being offered to the community, as one lady answers in obedience to God. It’s a place to bring heaviness and burdens in a private setting.
Pat Enochs of Monroe City has opened the building to the public for anyone in need of a private place to pray.
Enochs stated, “Most churches today are locked, this building provides a place to come and kneel at the altar bringing all your needs to God.” She shared the building is never locked and will continue to be open for anyone who would need to get alone with God. Referencing the Bible, she gave an example of how even Jesus had to get away and pray in his own private time. She wanted this to be a place for people to come to get away in prayer.
