Firefighters receive certificates of provider training credits for hands on training held Sept. 22.

On September 22, the Monroe City Fire Department participated in an Ignitable Liquids and Ethanol Blended Fuels training taught by the Local Emergency Training Specialists, LLC (LETS), of Cadet. The class was sponsored by the Missouri Emergency Response Commission at Three Rivers College.
The firefighters attended an eight-hour class with four hours of technical classroom instruction and four hours of skills development. During the skills development, local firefighters received hands on learning as they attempted to control ignitable liquids preparing them for any future calls they may receive.
The course was developed by National Foam, who is a leader in Foam Education and Responder Enhancement. Following the classroom presentation, the practical skills portion of the course is completed to complete the course objectives.
