The Missouri Sheriffs’ Association (MSA) explained, the Missouri State Auditor Nicole Galloway, published false assertions in her official report regarding the oversight and control of the Missouri sex offender registry program that incorrectly placed law enforcement in a negative light. “The Auditor’s numbers and information just don’t add up.”

On October 8, the Missouri Sheriffs’ Association, of Jefferson City, released information concerning a report given by the Missouri State Auditor, Nicole Galloway related to the sex offender registry program in Missouri.
According to Monroe County Sheriff David Hoffman, “The Missouri State Auditor had not notified the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department to get information for their report,” he stated, “There are 35 sex offenders living in Monroe County. Of the 35, 34 are registered and one is absconded and has a warrant issued.”
