Lady Panther infielders, Bailee Hays, Skylar Kauble, Mackenzie West, Lauren Youngblood and Haleigh St.Clair come together on the mound during the championship game.

On September 2, the Monroe City Lady Panthers softball team traveled to the Knox County tournament finding themselves once again competing against Canton for the first-place victory.
Monroe City was able to bring home the trophy with yet another first-place win for two weekends in a row. Canton started out in the top half of the first inning with a 2-0 lead from the result of a few lady panther errors. Monroe City rallied back with a great offensive day at bat as Bailee Hays hit an RBI single and Riley Quinn was able to hit a double bringing in two more runs. Then, the championship game brought McKenzie West to the plate in the fifth inning with a tie score of 3-3. West was able to connect the bat hitting a homerun bringing two runs in to score. Not a single run would be scored the rest of the game giving Monroe City the win with an ending score of 5-3.
